New Beginnings

It’s an exciting time of change at Family Mediation North East as Denise Todd is retiring from her director’s duties and our Business Manager Sarah-Jane Turnbull is joining Margot Moffitt and Laura Ronn as a Director.

Denise is ‘downsizing’ to spend more time pursing her many interests, including walking in the hills and playing the piano. Luckily for us she’s still going to be continuing as one of our mediators, as we couldn’t do without her.

Denise is excited about being able to devote more time to mediation as this is her favourite part of the job. Denise says, “My greatest satisfaction has always been my work with clients. I look forward to having more time to support families through the difficult period of separation and towards positive outcomes and new beginnings.”

We will continue to benefit from Denise’s considerable skill, expertise and over twenty years’ experience of family dispute resolution, and as she has also recently qualified as a Mediation Professional Practice Consultant (PPC) Denise is looking forward to helping to train and support the next generation of mediators.

Sarah-Jane has been with Family Mediation North East for over seven years, starting as our Office Manager whilst she was training to be a mediator. She gained her FMCA status several years ago, becoming one of the youngest mediators in the country to do so. She will continue to practise as a mediator and an active promoter of family mediation throughout the North East, as well as benefiting Family Mediation North East with all her energy and expertise in her new post as Director. We welcome her to the management team.

We’re excited about the future as we continue to work hard to provide an accessible, affordable and professional service to those experiencing family disputes.
